Scale of the Day: G Pythagorean Whole-tone - Lydian Mode

GPythagoreanWholeToneLydianMode

The G Pythagorean Whole-tone - Lydian Mode - Scale. Tuning the Lydian Mode of a Pythagorean scale means all otonal intervals (relative to the tonic). And in the case of the G Whole-Tone that means the E# (augmented sixth) is the proper spelling of the frequency ratio 59049/62768. If this were an Ionian mode, then the F-natural (minor seventh) - the 16/9 - would be used (as the scale's only utonal interval).
